The Weeknd Tapped For ‘Nothing is Lost’ From the ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ Soundtrack. Stream Here

Date:

Abel is at it again! This time round, he is lending vocals to the latest installment of the “Avatar” film.

Following a chain of successful soundtrack songs to his credit; right from ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ hit ‘Earned It,’ ‘Black Panther’ smash ‘Pray For Me’), music superstar The Weeknd is looking forward to continuing the trend with ‘Nothing is Lost (You Give Me Strength)’ – his contribution to the long-awaited ‘Avatar‘ sequel: ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ (in theaters December 16).

The “In Your Eyes” singer first hinted at his involvement in the long-in-the-works sequel when he shared a 12-second clip, featuring a chorus sings as a visual of a watery, blue “A” with a bird in the middle of the letter appears. He captioned it “12.16.22,” a date that also appears towards the end of the video.

Shortly after sharing his mysterious video, Tesfaye retweeted the official account for the movie Avatar: The Way of Water, which included his initial post and added “#AvatarTheWayofWater x @theweeknd.”

The record was penned by The Weeknd himself and produced by Swedish House Mafia alongside famed composer Simon Franglen. “I thought I could protect you from paying for my sins / You give me strength,” The Weeknd croons on the emotional track. “I’m with you either way / Nothing’s lost, no more pain / Just give me strength.”

Speaking of film, Abel will also star in HBO’s upcoming series “The Idol” set for release soon.

The full ‘Avatar 2: The Way of Water’ soundtrack is available now for streaming.
