Wild ‘n Out show runner Nick Cannon has announced intentions to extend his popular show to Africa.
He made the revelation earlier this morning via his X (formerly known as Twitter) while calling upon participants with the various talents like comedy and rap from African countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana, Egypt, Somalia, and more to anticipate, and look forward to taking part.
Created on 28th July, 2005 by entrepretainer (as he likes to refer to himself) Nick Cannon, Wild ‘n Out has been running for over two decades. The improvisational comedy game show features sketch comedy and rap battles. In it, two teams of comedians are put against each other. The game has been through a couple of changes in terms of team names over the years. The teams score a point per round. As the episode gets crowned, there happens a musical performance (who is usually tagged as the “Guest Captain”), and then a belt (chain) is handed over to the winning team for take home, but should Cannon’s team win, he retains it.
Among the past featured guest artists on it have been Omarion, Machine Gun Kelly, Nelly, Rae Sremmurd, Koffee, etc.
Upon initial announcement, the internet has been going wild with reactions with many anticipating how the show will play out, with the expansion to Africa as it enters its 21st Season of broadcasting.
