‘Call’ hit maker Joeboy to entertain partiers at first Ever Blankets and Wine Online Edition

Date:

Blankets and Wine has always been one of those events that many revelers look forward to in Kampala, because it is not only where they get to glam up and wear some of their best clothes to turn up but have a good time as well. It basically attracts a big percentage of the party people of Kampala.

Before the presidential directive to stop musical concerts and all gatherings was announced, House of Deejays, the chief organizers of “Blankets and Wine” had  announced that the sensational Yemi Alade would be gracing the 25th edition of Blankets and Wine in Kampala, that had been scheduled for 19th April, 2020; but, unfortunately, like many other social gatherings, it could not happen due to the Covid-19 pandemic disruption.

Whereas Ugandans might still have limited access to events and partying hotspots around the country, clubs and concerts, this cannot stop them from party from going on and getting the experiences online and one that can’t be missed is the Blankets and Wines that is happening at the end of this month; as partying in Uganda has continually evolved amid the current pandemic to creatively create experiences, taking the fun to their homes and still have a good time since most are being taken all online

Therefore, as a way of enabling their revelers to keep up with and enjoy the Blankets and Wine experience at home, House of Deejays together with Tusker Malt, will be having the first ever online edition of Blankets and Wine on August 30th. Just like all the other Blankets and Wine editions, this edition too, will be featuring an international act; and for this edition it will be Nigeria’s Joeboy.

Born Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa, Nigerian Afro-Pop sensation Joeboy is a 23-year old singer and is currently signed to Mr. Eazi’s emPawa Africa record label. Joeboy broke through the scene last year with continental ground breaking hit single ‘Baby’. He later made a presence in Kampala/Uganda in the Guvnor Parking Lot in August 2019 at the Malembe Block Party where he kept the revelers going with his then most popular song then that many people sang as ‘ma bebe, ma bebe..’. During his performance, he also premiered another single called ‘Beginning’ which also garnered massive airplay and rotation around the continent.

He has since released an EP titled “Love and Light” that spawned off hit songs like ‘Beginning’ and ‘Don’t Call Me Back‘, a collaboration with Mayorkun. He is currently working and gearing up for the release of his debut studio album which he is yet to announce. Among his other couple of songs is ‘All for you’, ‘Call’, ‘Baby girl’ and many others that the party-loving Ugandans will be merry making to at the Blankets and Wine online edition.

Just like the normal Blankets and Wine, Miss Deedan Diana has always been the lady at the fore front when it comes to all things hosting, and keeping the party going. She will once again lend her buoyancy and entertaining spirit as your official host on this exciting virtual Blankets at Home experience. 💜🤗

So, the question would be on where to purchase tickets for the show:

Well, Blankets at Home will be streaming on the Fezah App, and for one to be able to catch the show, they’ll need to part with a ka Ugx. 25,000 for an e-ticket that can be purchased online via: Mticket (252 Lifestyle) and on Fezah.

When you pay, your viewership code is sent to you via e-mail, and on the day of the show, one will have to log onto Fezah, key in their access code and get watching.

One can alternatively buy themselves an electronic pass to watch the event via the Safe Boda app using their SB Wallet. The advantage of buying yours using SafeBoda is that you get to win a 6 Pack of Tusker Malt Lager. 😚 Purchase your e-ticket here.

There are alternative methods to buy them tickets, and here’s one other way:

Tusker Malt is to do giveaways as they will have goodies for offer, more so for best dressed, best home set up, drink setup, and food setup. 😉

As for the folks who had bought tickets for the April show that had to be cancelled because of the pandemic: you are to receive a free ticket to this, and will be granted a free pass to the very first Blankets and Wine once the outside opens and physical events are on:

Here’s a video summary of what to expect come Sunday, 30th.
