The unforgettable Nigerian bop-dropping singer behind viral hits like “love nwantiti (ah ah ah)”, “Emiliana” and “Felony”, has today released the very first album of his career and it’s chockful of his signature lovesick lyricism.

Ckay only rose to stardom in recent years but he has already broken some pretty remarkable records with the first African song in history to surpass one billion streams on Spotify and the top track on the first-ever Billboard US Afrobeats.
The Kaduna-born talent’s success is largely alluded to his genuine, heartfelt lyricism combined with an almost celestial undertone that has appealed to the masses over the years.
Today, with the release of Ckay’s debut studio album Sad Romance, he is putting Afrobeats on the global stage once again and proves that there’s no stopping him with the 12-track project that houses features some of the most exciting Afrobeats artists including Arya Starr, Davido, Focalistic, Abidoza, Rosinia, and Mary Andrade.
The album chronicles its author’s journey through romantic relationships. It combines Afro-pop with other pulses like soul, R&B, jazz and Afrohouse.
