To add to already high anticipation for the November 11 arrival of the ‘Black Panther’ sequel, ‘Wakanda Forever,’ Roc Nation Records – in conjunction with Def Jam Records and Hollywood Records have officially unveiled the film’s official musical compilation and its carrying exciting features and voices.

The 19-set project as Executively produced by the film’s director Ryan Coogler as well as composer Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis (chief creative officer at Def Jam), and Dave Jordan features names: Ckay, Future, Rema, OG DAYV, Burna Boy, Aléman, Vivir Quintana, Mare Advertencia, Blue Rojo, Stormzy, Tems, Pat Boy, E-40, Fireboy DML, Busiswa, among others. It also houses production credits to producer P-Prime, and others.
Last week was closed off with heart-wrenching tune ‘Lift Me Up’ breaking Rihanna’s 6year musical hiatus and relaunching her musical return; just a few months in after the single’s co-writer Tems released yet another track that is on the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Soundtrack.

Göransson spent over 2500 hours recording the score and soundtrack – which involved six studios, across three continents and five countries. Over the course of the film, the audience will hear over 250 musicians, two orchestras, two choirs, and over 40 vocalists.
Given the story is inspired by both Nigerian and Mesoamerican cultures, recording sessions were set up in Lagos, Nigeria, and Mexico City, Mexico, as well as Abbey Road Studios in London. Producers worked with popular artists from Lagos including Tems, which has become a hotbed of musical innovation. In addition, emerging rappers and artists from Mexico City are featured on the soundtrack including rapper Pat Boy, who raps entirely in Mayan.
While in Mexico City, Göransson worked closely with music archeologist Alejandro Rojas to explore and research Mayan music. Instruments native to both Nigerian and Mesoamerican cultures were featured in the creation of the soundscape.
The ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Soundtrack is out on music streaming platforms soon. Do highly anticipate.
