Having built a reputation for being witty, outspoken, and versatile in his art, A Pass has kept fans and lovers of exciting content glued to his YouTube channel for both his music videos and his signature off-stage personality over the years.
All the hard work has ultimately paid off today, as video streaming platform YouTube has honored him with a YouTube Plaque, in recognition for hitting this major subscriber milestone. As is the custom, this was accompanied with a printed letter as signed by the of YouTube CEO, with the current one Neal Mohan.

Born Alexander Bagonza, A Pass officially kicked off his music career at Badi Music in 2014. With his instant classic “Tuli Kubigere” and “Memories” on which he featured Lilian Mbabazi, he has since become a household name.
Fresh off a sold-out January 31 concert that reaffirmed his dominance in the African music scene this year and as a culmination of a decade in music, him bagging this Silver plaque today continues his 2025 winning streak.
Sharing the news to his over 755,000 followers on X (formerly known as Twitter), the “My Lover” crooner dedicated the milestone of receiving the creator plaque to his fans; writing:
To put things into perspective, Uganda’s YouTube landscape has over the years a number of names breaking past major milestones. BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo and comedy queen Anne Kansiime led the pack, followed by Masaka Kids Africana, and Spice Diana among others who have received Creator Awards from YouTube.

A Pass has proudly become the latest to joined the list of Ugandan creators recognized by YouTube. Started in May 2014 on the 22nd, his channel boasts of 115 videos, of these including music videos, lyrics visualizers, live performances and interviews. Altogether, the channel has attracted over 19 Million views and still counting.
