Electronic Wave’s DJ Arta Readies ‘Togetherness’ Debut EP

Electronic Music Making Group’s Electronic Wave (EW)’s Okuta Arthur better known by his professional name DJ Arta is set to drop his EP soon.

The EW Group is composed of producers and artists interested in EDM as a genre (style of music), and these include Maerco, Crums, DJ Arta among others.

Okuta has been making music as early as 2016 while he was still in high school; majoring in progressive house and trance sub genres of electronic dance music.

The fasted rising young music creator and finalist of Engineering at Kyambogo University just like his colleagues learnt his music production skills from YouTube University and since outed singles like ‘Alive’, ‘Dance With Me’, & ‘Swing By Me.’  

DJ Arta is set to soon drop his sophomore EP ‘Togetherness’ quite soon and this will be released via Electronic Wave UG. DJ Arta is a who is a self-taught active producing deejay of EDM with inspirations from the late Avicii and Martin Garrix and he is often dubbed as the Ugandan Martin Garrix by his peers.

Speaking about the EP, Arta says that he believes that the act of doing things together or collectively helps each one achieve more and provides the opportunity to have a sense of belonging.

He also adds that he believes in the power of collaboration; be it between producers and artists and artists and song writers, PR people etc.

Okuta’s formr manager upon giving the EP an exclusive listen remarked that: ” Sounds are exciting, melodies are crowd pulling and the concepts he has are one of the answers to the current questions of Ugandan EDM.”
