Days after global superstar Davido was unveiled as Spiro’s international brand ambassador, the electric mobility company has now handed the East African face of that same campaign to Uganda’s own Fik Fameica.

Spiro Uganda, the country’s leading electric mobility company, yesterday announced Shafik Walukagga, popularly known as Fik Fameica, as its newest Brand Ambassador. The partnership sees the “Mafia” hitmaker join the company on its mission to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility across Uganda, a mission Spiro says goes beyond just transportation, to empowering riders, supporting livelihoods and building a cleaner, more sustainable future for the country.

Speaking on why Fik was the pick for this one, Spiro Uganda Communications Officer Winnie Atim noted that he represents the exact values that resonate with the people who drive their business every day:

“Fik Fameica is more than an artist; he is a voice that resonates with millions of Ugandans. His story, energy, and authenticity align perfectly with who we are as a brand. We are excited to welcome him to the Spiro family as we continue driving the future of mobility in Uganda.”

Beyond the music, the rapper has built himself a strong connection with everyday Ugandans, and it’s this authenticity and reach that made him a natural pick to help Spiro grow its community and get electric mobility closer to riders in every corner of the country.

Commenting on the new deal, Fik Fameica said:

“I’m excited to join the Spiro family and be part of a movement that is transforming transport in Uganda. This partnership is about more than motorcycles — it’s about creating opportunities, embracing innovation, and inspiring people to believe in a cleaner and better future.”

There was also a symbolic moment at the launch that probably said more than any press statement could. Ricky Rappa Thompson, who has for the longest time been the face of Spiro in Uganda, personally handed Fik a reflector jacket and helmet on stage, an unofficial but unmistakable passing of the baton, officially marking the changing of the guard as Fik takes over the mantle of being the face of the bike company in the country.

You could say the writing was already on the wall for this one. Just about a week ago, Spiro made global headlines unveiling Afrobeats star Davido as its worldwide brand ambassador, fronting the “Davido Collection” of electric motorcycles on the continental stage. Fik now becomes the local face of that same push, tasked with the on-the-ground job of getting Ugandan riders to actually believe in and adopt the electric switch.

Through the partnership, Spiro Uganda says it aims to increase awareness of electric mobility, inspire more riders to embrace sustainable transport, and strengthen its engagement with communities nationwide, as the company continues expanding its footprint across the country.

Fik is no stranger to brand endorsements. He has previously endorsed Bell Uganda, TECNO, among other brands.

Congratulations Fik! Here’s to many more, KING KONG! 🥳🏍️⚡
