After postponing its release multiple times, Damola has today announced his new album’s release dates and artwork.
Fans of Afro-fusion act Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known by stage name Fireboy DML have been hit by some exciting music news from the singer this evening.
This follows the “Peru” crooner announcing Friday 5th August as the day his 3rd studio album will be arriving.
Named “PLAYBOY”, the LP will be a follow-up to 2020’s “Apollo”, and 2019 maiden solo effort “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps”.
He had earlier hinted that his long-awaited album would be dropping in the month of August; while sharing the stage with Ed Sheeran to perform their hit collab “Peru” in Wembley Stadium to a 90,000 audience.
The confirmed singles that’ll make the album are the titular track “Playboy:”, “Peru”, “Peru (Feat. Ed Sheeran), and “Bandana” on which he’ll host his label mate Asake, and a set of other 10 tracks that he will be releasing in the course of the next weeks.
Fireboy who is signed to YBNL/ EMPIRE had earlier while in a chat with Olamide (YBNL CEO) explained the reason for the delay of his album being that this body of work is going to be a great one; that fans should wait a little longer, and that he couldn’t rush it. August 5th, the wait shall be no more.
