Isaiah Wanjala at the close of last month made a big announcement of the big boy moves he was intending to take on; marking an end to his 6 years at Pay TV company; Multichoice Uganda in his position as Trade Marketing Manager where he oversaw the in-trade brand revamps and visibility for the DStv Uganda and GOtv Uganda brands as well as playing a key role in launching and bringing to life brands such as Pearl Magic Prime.
Whereas nostalgic feels and goodbyes were in the air upon the Marketing maven’s announcement, congratulations too were in order as he was named in a new role in Global household brand;- Unilever Uganda where he’d be serving in the role of Assistant Manager, CCD (Channel & Category Development) and will be responsible for developing the customer-facing strategy for the category, channel strategies as well as the integrated business planning.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr. Wanjala is passionate about marketing, and customer care, an experience enthusiast, as well as people management. As a former customer service representative in the Customer Care and Experience docket before he could pivot to the marketing field as a Marketing Assistant and eventually the Trade Marketing Manager role, Wanjala is committed to growing and transforming Unilever; and if his work at the PayTV is to go by, to say the least; then safe to say;- the only way is up, for not just him but Unilever too.
