The fast rising and popping 28 year old singer, song writer armed with his not-so-secret weapon which is his voice and poignant lyrics embarked on his musical journey having taken after his life time idol, Wizkid.
Born Kakaire Deric, Wiz Kaka has from his childhood had a profound and ingrained love for music. Driven by this passion, Wiz Kaka delved deeper into the world of music, recognizing the importance of learning from those who came before him and so he therefore immersed himself in learning, absorbing different styles and techniques from established artists, which kept his creative spirit alive. His commitment to growth is evident, as he continually strives to improve his craft while staying connected to the vibrant music scene around him.
Among his notable influences is Chris Brown, Nigerian Afrobeats titan Wizkid whose songs “Tonight” and “Slow Down (with R2Bees) as well as Adekunle Gold, Patoranking and Burna Boy,” ignited his passion, leading him to choose a professional path in music. Wiz Kaka also greatly emulates and admires multi award winning Ugandan musical icon Jose Chameleone.
