Milly Nassolo to Launch Her Memoir “Losing to Love”

Date:

Renowned Ugandan lawyer, writer, and human rights activist Milly Nassolo is set to launch her deeply personal memoir titled Losing to Love. The launch event will take place at Fairway Hotel in Kampala on the 31st of July, 2024. Nassolo announced this exciting news on Wednesday afternoon via her X (formerly Twitter) social media account.

“This memoir is a journey through my life, from the darkest moments to finding my purpose and passion. I hope it inspires others to believe in the possibility of a better tomorrow,” shared Nassolo.

Losing to Love is a compelling memoir that chronicles Nassolo’s remarkable journey from a timid, bullied girl with a frail health condition to a successful lawyer and passionate advocate for human rights. Born to a single mother, Nassolo faced numerous challenges, including frequent illnesses that kept her oscillating between classrooms, hospitals, and home. These experiences led many to predict a bleak future for her—a prediction she almost believed as her early academic performances were poor, and her life seemed devoid of hope.

However, Nassolo’s memoir is a testament to resilience and determination. In her own words, she shares how she defied all odds, transformed her life, and became a beacon of hope for others. The book is especially poignant for anyone who doubts if tomorrow can be better than today.

The memoir is published with the ISBN 978-9970-663-15-6.
