Renown Dancehall songstress Nina Roz (born Nina Kankunda) released ‘Billboard Kipande, her third offering of 2020. She did accompany it with a wonderfully visual as directed by Kazibwe Dante of Artmark Films.
Billboard (Kipande) served as her debut musical release, having freshly got singed to Black Market Records (joining the likes of Bruno K, Angella Katatumba, Selector Jeff and Daddy Andre who are signed onto the label too), after her brief time spent with former management and label – Sure Entertainment, where she dropped Ntinka Nkutinke and Kyoyooyo while still there.
Arguably one of the best songs to be released last year, this jam also showed her continued commitment to continuing to roll out songs that resonate with not only her fans but herself as well.
The mid-tempo urban afro pop touchy groovy single gives off a typical Nina Roz flow and melody as she relays her unique vocals singing to her longtime lover letting him know she wants to put his name on a billboard and tag his name for everyone to see that he is hers and that people get to know he is taken; backed by the smoothly flowing beats by the hit making producer – Daddy Andre (Andre on the Beat).
The Dantie Kazibwe direction sees Nina Roz and her love interest in different shots throughout the house, enjoying one another’s company. This is the very first song by the Munda Dala singer to hit this 1,000,000 views milestone.
She’s also worked with her significant other who also happens to be a fellow artist, song writer, and Producer and also label mate. Last month they teamed up on Nangana, and Nina also offered backup vocals on Daddy Andre’s boppy instrumentation – Andele. A possibility of continued collaboration between the two is what we are here for; given their versatility, and musical chemistry as she revealed in a recent interview with Sqoop.
Uganda loves Billboard Kipande, and so do I, and with Valentine’s Day around the corner, this is one you could add to your playlist or dedicate to your special someone. 😉

Congratulations Nina!
