The contents of the “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy” is largely made up of exclusive footage from members in Diddy’s inner circle including former employees, childhood friends, bodyguards, and even a Making the Band contestant, all recounting their tales of dealing with Combs throughout his career, plus candid interviews with people who know him, such as VIBE editor Danyel Smith, Danity Kane’s D. Woods, and Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
The look back at the 55-year old mogul’s life has come at a time when he faces dark allegations and legal trouble on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. Prosecutors say he used his money and power to force people into drug-fueled sex parties, using blackmail and violence to control them for years. Combs is currently in jail in Brooklyn, waiting for his trial in May 2025
“Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy” currently holds a record of being the most streamed international Peacock/ Showmax original documentary film of all time, a few days after its release. It is also the #1 most watched among adults aged 18-49 on the platform.
A report by AP News has it that Combs is suing for $100m in damages over the documentary.
