Few days after the Team No Sleep (T.N.S) singed singer and performing artist Sheebah Karungi or Queen Karma (as she likes to introduce herself) dropped new single ‘Ninda’, that was thought to have been a piece of the many songs on her then forthcoming studio LP ‘SAMALI’ she has finally arrived it.
‘Ninda’ was a follow up to her other lock down hit single ‘Nakyuka‘ which she laid out 3 months ago; whose music video hit a million views the other day. These two are some of the many tracks that made it to her fifth studio album “SAMALI”. Queen Karma had also made a brief appearance on Crysto Panda’s “Kyoyina Omanya (remix)” back then in June, of which all have been performing so well in the charts and playlist rotations and favorite domination.
In a post she made in July, the artist wrote saying: “my 5th album might turn out to be my favorite album so far #Samali oming soon.” Sheebah also revealed the name of the LP: ‘Samali; which happens to be her maiden name. Her excitement for this new album has her fans eagerly waiting for what she could be releasing soon.
Well, today the ‘SAMALI’ has been officially unveiled and the “Exercise” singer made the reveal via social:
Samali is Sheebah Karungi’s other name. The album basically taps into Sheebah’s story, her life, struggle/ her hustle and journey rising to the top but also has a feel good vibe to it. To sum it up, it is one that balanced album. You can tell this from its album artwork, that features the different Shades of Sheebah (sides) to indicate diversity.
Having had a peep at the official track listing of the album, we get to see that Sheebah has credited the various guest appearances on her album and various producers with whom she worked to pull this off:
“SAMALI” as an 18 track album was released under the record label TNS (Team No Sleep) and has a playtime of 52 minutes. With special features from Chance Nalubega, Fik Fameica, King Saha among others. Sheebah worked with song writers: Nikoly, Daddy Andre, Frank Lion, Ronie, Nick Mulla, Kalifah Aganaga, King Saha, Raga Dee, Song Boss, and Yakubu to pen down the album. The producers on the other hand included: Nessim, Producer Ronnie, Daddy Andre, TYMG, Artin Pro, Diggy Baur (withwhom she worked with on ‘Mummy Yo’). In addition, and Ian Pro, Eno Beats (he produced for her her 2018 single ‘Muwe’), and Alexander Muge (who produced ‘Ekyama’ among Sheebah’s other songs).
The album ‘SAMALI’ is out now and on all music streaming and downloading platforms. Check it out here:
Having started out in the Obsessions Music Group in 2006, Sheebah later pursued a solo career and later broke through in 2014 with “Ice Cream’ having joined Team No Sleep artist hence becoming very popular thereafter with her hit after hit releases like ‘Ndi Wanjawulo’, ‘Binkolera’, ‘John Rambo’ among others hence winning hearts of many (who we would later get to know as ‘Sheebaholics’), awards and solidifying her position in the music industry.
