Zuchu hits 1Million Subscribers on YouTube

As of Saturday 27th March, 2021,Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) signee Zuhura Othman Soud better known by her stage name Zuchu made history by becoming the first female artiste in East Africa to clock 1 million subscribers on American online video-sharing platform headquartered in San Bruno, California – YouTube.

She also became the first and fastes female artiste in Africa to achieve this milestone in the shortest possible time (11 months).

An excited Zuchu took to social media social media to celebrate the significant milestone in her musical career, Zuchu, expressed gratitude to her fans for enabling her to surpass the 1 million subscribers’ mark writing:

Loosely translated (1,000,000 Subscribers Thank you very much for this extraordinary love of enabling me to reach 1 million subscribers within 11 months. I have a lot to be thankful for, but for today, the history carries the day),” an excited Zuchu wrote.

Following the new milestone, the Sukari hit maker will be looking forward to receiving from the YouTube Management: The Golden Plaque (YouTube Creator Award) for this achievement. Zuchu disclosed that she could not wait to receive The Golden Plaque (YouTube creator Award) issued by YouTube management. This Plaque is always given to people with accounts that have surpassed the 1 million subscribers mark.

“We have reached 1,000,000 million subscribers on YouTube I can’t thank you enough. Thank you so much for your endless support. Waiting for our gold plaque like ????,” wrote Zuchu.

This is not the first time the 27-year-old songstress has broken history records after being officially unveiled as a WCB signee in April 2020, the Wana hit maker registered her name in the books of History in Tanzania and East Africa, by again becoming the first female artiste to be awarded the Silver Plaque (Play Button) barely two months after joining the streaming platform for becoming the first East African female artist to exceed more than 100, 000 subscribers within a week.

Zuchu has been setting and breaking her own records with just months into the music industry. Just last month, the Tanzanian Songbird also broke another record by becoming the first female artist in Sub-Saharan Africa to garner 1,000,000 views on YouTube within 22 hours thanks to her hit song Sukari after uploading on YouTube on January 30th, 2021, and achieved the historic milestone while trending at number one both in Tanzania and Kenya in less than 22 hours after going live. 

With this to her name, She now beats the African princess Nandy, the leading Female artiste with the most subscribers in East Africa. Congratulations Zuchu! 😊
