Sunday Stephen, the multi-talented Ugandan model, fitness trainer, sprinter, and Hyrox athlete, is gearing up to compete in the highly anticipated Mister Africa International Festival 2024. This will be Stephen’s fourth time representing Uganda at the prestigious competition, set to take place from December 12th to 24th in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The grand finale will unfold on December 22nd at Mamba Point, Lagonda, starting at 7 PM.
Presented by Bh Mmsl and House of Twitch, and supported by telecom giant Africell and the Ministry of Tourism, Sierra Leone, this year’s event will bring together 30 countries, with only 10 finalists vying for the prestigious title. Sunday Stephen, a former “Body of Africa” award winner, is determined to go one step further and secure the crown this time.
Stephen’s journey to Mister Africa International is a testament to his resilience and commitment. As a fitness trainer and model, he has inspired many to embrace healthier lifestyles and has become a beacon of dedication, discipline, and excellence. His success in fitness modeling reflects years of hard work and sacrifice, making him a top contender in this year’s competition.
“My goal is clear—I’m here to win,” said Stephen. “This is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. Representing Uganda and Africa is my lifelong dream, and I’m ready to make it happen.”
Stephen has undergone rigorous training for the competition, focusing not only on physical fitness but also on mental sharpness. “It’s not just about looking good on stage; you have to be mentally prepared for anything. You need confidence, intelligence, and a strong sense of self,” he explained. Despite facing these challenges alone, without the support of a coach or sponsor, Stephen has persevered. “I’m doing this because I love my country, and I want to represent Africa at the highest level,” he emphasized.
The winner of the Mister Africa International title will walk away with cash prizes and contracts with leading modeling agencies like House of Twitch. However, Stephen views the platform as an opportunity to promote African culture and inspire young Africans to chase their dreams, no matter the obstacles.
“Representing Uganda, my country, and Africa as a whole is an honor. I am proud to carry the flag of the Pearl of Africa, and I want to show the world the beauty and strength of our continent,” Stephen said.
As the countdown to the competition begins, all eyes are on Sunday Stephen, who continues to inspire pride and excitement in Uganda and across Africa
