Like word has it, “All good things always do come to an end”. The case is not any different for the Club Beatz At Home online shows that have been happening every single Saturday.
In the spirit of saving the best for last; Club has unveiled a power set of artists to close this one. The elite set of artists are from a variety of genres; from hip-hop, dancehall, to soul, and Afro chic pop and include Mafikizolo, Cindy Sanyu, Kenneth Mugabi, Pallaso, and Navio as hosted by Martha Kay.
Before we go any further; let me break down for you some intel on what our performing acts for this finale are about.
To start it off is Continental sensational Duo; Mafikizolo who are set to be the official headliners. The duo that is made up of Nhlanhla Nciza and Theo Kgosinkwe are not only best known for their long list of bangers, but also the mark they have made as fashion and style icons in their own right. Mafikizolo are an embodiment of the blissful marriage between music and fashion and have been nominated and won numerous awards for both. Over the years, they have cut out an Afro-chic urban pop look that has become their trademark. Just in case it skipped your mind, it is this very group that gave us anthems like “Ndihamba Nawe”, Khona, Tchelete, and “Love Portion”. The two South Africans who make up Mafikizolo, are set to show off not just their taste for fashion, but also give the continent’s style devotees a reminder of their musical prowess this Saturday on the Club Beatz At Home online concert.
Moving on swiftly; is the King herself Cindy Sanyu; who too has outed and given hits since day one. From “Mbikooye”, “Onina”, “Sunset”, to “Run This City”, “Still Standing”. All hits. One after another. She recently had her maiden “Boom Party” concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval and her collaboration mate Navio with whom she recorded “Ndi Mukodo” too will join in on this episode.
Navio who’s just released his 5th studio album; “Strength In Numbers” just last month too has also been put in line for this Saturday run down on the Facebook and YouTube channel of Club Pilsner’s Club Beatz At Home online show. Best known for songs like “Njogereza, Ngalo, Nawulira, Gbesile”, the East Lord; Daniel Kigozi alias Navio too is to be a show up on this finale.
Just last week, the legendary Jose Chameleon (Jose Mayanja) represented for the Mayanja family and of course his performance left the biggest percentage of the audience watching wanting more of him. Club Pilsner has in this spirit brought on board his younger brother; who happens to be another talent; the Team Good Music CEO Pius Mayanja a.k.a Pallaso. Pallaso has over the years since his debut blessed the people with songs such as “Kilila”, “Amaaso”, “Go Down Low” and “Wine and Wine”. He will be performing these and many of his songs.
To close up the fine line up was Kenneth Mugabi. The man who gave us the soothing soul sounds like “Nkwegomba”, “Kibunaomu”, “Olugendo”. Kenneth is one artist we would all agree makes music for all generations. With just his guitar, he is known for his unique sweet, moving and yet powerful lyrics and for his love for his guitar and being proudly African; and Ugandan. If you have been following him for a while now, you’d know that he actually titled his recent album “UGANDAN”. Just imagine how amazing it would be; having Kenneth and Cindy all on one show and both acts are known for being great band performers. Well, Club Pilsner has made this possible and we can only but wait and see how massive its going be this Saturday.
