She’s BACK! Rihanna Trumpets Grand Return To Music With Release Of “Lift Me UP” | WATCH

With “Lift Me UP”, safe to say – Ri season is upon us!

Serving as the lead offering from the soundtrack of the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ sequel that’s releasing November 11, Rihanna has broken her 5-year music hiatus with “Lift Me Up” as she also gears up for her Super Bowl Halftime Show 2023 headlining role.

News of the 34-year-old breaking her musical silence was first broken HITS Daily Double which had it that the pop icon had recorded a couple of tracks songs for the Marvel movie soundtrack.

Fun Fact:

‘Lift Me Up’ was was recorded in five countries. Its lyrics were written as a tribute to the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman by Tems, Ludwig Göransson (who also serves as the song’s producer), Rihanna, and director Ryan Coogler. 

Commenting on her contribution to the song, the Nigerian star said:

“After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them,” said Tems. “Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.”
