A Pass & Lilian Mbabazi to give us more ‘MEMORIES’?

Date:

Come 21st July of this year 2020, it will mark five years since Alexander Bagonza alias A Pass and former girl group member of Blu*3 Lilian Mbabazi linked up to bless us with the ballistic zouk love song ‘Memories’.

The song made such a huge impact on not only the duo’s careers but the audiences both local and international wide that listened to the single as well.

This collaborative project was evidence of the dynamism artiste A Pass has; and having Lilian on it, we saw him embrace zouk hence proving the vocal ability of both. The song was a typical Zouk love song flows in simple rhythm which makes the two talented artistes adopt naturally and blend into the mix with comfort.

In the audio, A Pass kept a low tempo but magnified his presence on this song with Jamaican Patois lyrics seasoned with some Luganda as he tells his lover about how exceptional she is and promises to love her. The chorus comes next with simple sentences sang by both artistes “She’s all she brings ma memories home,” by A Pass before Lilian replies, “He’s all he brings ma memories home.”

The audio was produced Nessim Pan Production; who was then at BADI World with A Pass.

Lilian and A Pass have performed this song at various occasions, and different events such as Lilian Mbabazi’s ‘Up Close and Personal’ maiden concert at Kampala Serena Hotel, and A Pass has delivered it as well on the various shows such as the Club Major Lazer live in concert of 2018; because people love it, the artists loved it, the deejays love, the media houses love, so, it is safe to say that the single has been such a big hit and a favorite- spanning all five years and still counting.

The video that was directed by Frank Mugerwa of Jahlive Films, and stares A Pass as Lilian and her husband’s driver; who secretly has feelings for his boss’ wife; who in this case is Lilian. The visuals to the video was since garnered a whooping 1.3Million views across YouTube.

So, why the speculation of a new collab? 😙

Well, for some time now, people have always wished that the two talents team up once again hit the studio and give us another lovely song; just like ‘Memories’ was. Safe to say, the wait is no more. Like we all know, A Pass is always hanging around his studio (GameOver Yard) most of the parts of his week; not forgetting he’s also a song writer, and producer besides being an artist. So, today, morning he tweeted his former collaboration mate; Lilian asking her whether they should give us another bop? He wrote:

To which Lilian responded:

So, new collab confirmed or nah? 👀

Not to excite you so much, but again, the ‘Tuli Kubigere’ singer in a bid to confirm our guesses about the upcoming project did posted a picture of the two on his Instagram, and did add ink to pen to the fact that something smoking hot was indeed cooking.
