With her album landing Friday (July 30th), BBC has announced that a special programme on Billie Eilish will be broadcast later this week.
Airing on BBC One on Saturday July 31 at 10:30pm, Billie Eilish: Up Close will see Billie in conversation with Radio 1’s Clara Amfo will follow the ‘Ocean Eyes’ singer’s rise to fame, a candid 45-minute insight into her life.
She will also offer performances of new music from her upcoming album Happier Than Ever in her first ever BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. In keeping with Live Lounge tradition, Billie will also deliver a special cover version.
Fans will be able to listen to more of the Live Lounge coverage and interview the following week on BBC Radio 1 on Thursday August 5.
Billie’s second studio album Happier Than Ever will be released this coming Friday (July 30) and features a string of colossal singles that have since charted on UK Top 40 chart: My Future (7), Therefore I Am (2), Your Power (5), Lost Cause (14) and NDA (23).
The Live Lounge performance goes live immediately after the documentary, from 11.15pm on July 31st./. Happier Than Ever has stacked up what could be the biggest album pre-orders in musical history thanks to the strong pre-orders the forthcoming LP has been getting; confirmed Apple Music.
As of June 15th, there had been over 20,000 physical pre-orders of Happier Than Ever so far including exclusive vinyl stocked by Amazon, HMV and Urban Outfitters UK, and Spotify exclusive cassettes. Confirmed Polydor Records Ltd (Universal Music Group)’s co-president Tom March.
