He started from the bottom, now he’s never gonna stop the ascent. As of the Billboard Chart dated Monday, 16th 2021, Drake made history, becoming the first artist to simultaneously debut three songs in the top three slots of the Billboard Hot 100, with “What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs (feat. Lil Baby),” and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle (feat. Rick Ross)” in spots one, two, and three, respectively.
All three songs were released just last week on March 5, on an EP under the title Scary Hours 2. Seems like he’s holding off on dropping Certified Lover Boy until we can get back in the clubs, which is probably best for the chart hopes of literally any other artist. Guess it’s all just God’s plan.
This is something the 34-year-old referenced to and even predicted reaching No. 1 on the song chart in — “What’s Next”.
He on the bundle’s first track, “What’s Next,” raps: “I’m on the hot one hundo, numero uno / This one ain’t come with a bundle,” he raps. “I’m in the Wynn, a million in chocolate chips / And that’s just how my cookie crumble.”
The No. 1 track reached 49.1 million streams in a single week, while “Wants and Needs” brought in 41.5 million, according to Billboard.
Drake has reached No. 1 eight times before. Last year, his track “Toosie Slide” hit the No. 1 spot while three of his tracks — “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What” and “In My Feelings” — took the top spot in 2018.

Also debuting on the Hot 100 this week is “Leave the Door Open” by Silk Sonic, the duo comprising Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. Coming in fifth is Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” followed by Cardi B’s “Up.”
While this is the first time an artists’ tracks debut in the top three at the same time, Drake joins The Beatles and Ariana Grande as the only artists to have three songs rank in the top 3 simultaneously.

The rapper, who is already among the shortlist of best-selling music artists with over 170 million records sold, has now made history with the latest release of his new EP titled ‘Scary Hours 2’.
While Drake now has the distinction as the first artist to ever debut three songs in the Hot 100’s top three simultaneously, he’s not the first artist to have three songs in the top three spots.
According to Billboard, Drake is ranked as the highest-certified digital singles artist in the United States by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA), with 142 million units based on combined sales and on-demand streams.
The four-time Grammy winner has been working on Certified Lover Boy, which will be his sixth studio album.
