Fik Fameica has locked in a major career milestone!
Rapper Walukagga Shafik better known by his stage name Fik Fameica has become the very first Ugandan artist to sign a distribution deal with Music Mogul Mr Eazi’s emPawa Africa.
This feat comes exactly four years after the ‘Buligita’ singer teamed up with emPawa Africa’s Joeboy in 2019 to drop ‘Wansakata’.
In a recent Twitter thread as Mr Eazi shined a light on the progress of emPawa Africa as a label highlighted working with Fik Fameica as one of them, and also hinted they would partner with him on future projects. Last week saw this vision finally come to pass.
Going forward, emPawa will be handling Fik Fameica’s music distribution and publishing as a way of expanding and growing his brand.
The team has already begun on the work with Fik by putting out his very first project with emPawa Africa as the distributor and publishing partner of choice on his most recent release of last week titled ‘Lifist’; an uptown Afro- amapiano record about living a good life.
As a music visionary and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi started emPawa Africa as a talent incubator program and through it funds has mentored emerging African artists like Lamu among others through its emPawa 100 program, signed some of today’s biggest stars who include DJ Neptune, Fave, Joeboy, among others, and now most recently also does digital music aggregation and Distribution.
