TOTALLY WORTH IT! Major League DJz Thrill Amapiano Fans At Best Of Kampala Event.

Date:

South African twin deejaying duo ushered revelers into the weekend in style yesterday at an event dubbed: “BOK With Major League DJz”.

Hosted in spectacular style at La Paronis (the Garden City Rooftop), in the Party capital of Kampala, Best Of Kampala with Major League DJz was widely attended by music aficionados as the duo delivered a stunning performance to the satisfaction of all.

Prior to the Mzansi entertainment bosses taking stage were mix sessions by Deejays Ed Wizzy Selector, Roja, Selector Jay; who each kept those in attendance on their feed, singing and dancing along as they set the mood for the major event and act.

Major League DJz proved that they were indeed deserving of the screams, chants when they hit the stage at around quarter past midnight, where they set the venue ablaze with a smooth hour of pure amapiano/ kwaito music; a genre they are widely known for championing.

Just like “Roast and Rhyme” which mainly focuses on reggae-loving audiences, this edition of Best of Kampala was geared toward the amapiano loving community of Kampala and you could indeed see and feel it in the atmosphere of the show.

From the dance moves, to the attire, to the clapping, whistles, and all the elements that constitute amapaino; which just like Afrobeats continues to steadily dominate the world; one step at a time.

The unforgettable spectacular night was put together by Radiocity, among other partners.  Did I mention? There was a later surprise performance by DJ Micheal the artist; the mans of “Kili Ok”, “Kwata Kwata”, “Muko Muko”.

DJ Kasbaby sealed off the night with an unforgettable set; which is unforgettable for he was apparently the only DJ who played Adekunle Gold & Davido’s “High”; one of my favorite tracks since last year.

Major League DJz is a South African hip-hop/kwaito music band consisting of the twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere. The duo has completely revolutionized kwaito music into the modern urban culture of music.  They this week became the latest addition to the Atlantic Records family having signed a recording deal with the company; and now join the likes of Jason Derulo, Bruno Mars, Ava Max, Burna Boy, Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Janelle Monae and many others.
