Mellifluous for his charismatic and enchanting Ndombolo and African Rhumba ballads, Congolese vocalist, songwriter, and choreographer Prince Nemiala Levyson Dalwear also professionally known as Ya Levis has garnered up an ever-growing fan base worldwide, with his chart-topping hits; Mokolo ya l’amour, Libala, Kachua, Mbang’u Te, Chocolat, Aicha and Nakati and captivating performances.
Last week, social media was awash with ecstasy and excitement when it was announced that the “Nakati” hitmaker will be performing in Uganda, later this year, on August 24 to be exact.
His coming is against the backdrop of many Ugandan netizens many – a- time manifesting that an event organizer flies the France-based singer to Uganda so they can experience a performance by him, just as was the case with Victony, Davido, NSG, King Promise, among other notable musical acts who have been to Kampala and so their wishes have come to pass.
He in February this year was among the soulful performers at the RAHA Fest in Nairobi (Kenya) alongside Femi One, Nviiri the Storyteller, Otile Brown and others. Come August 24, Ya Levis, ffe abamulina, after a previously unsuccessful attempt where he was set to perform at The Terminal Kampala three-day festival in December 2022.
As per the announcement, the singer is scheduled to shut down the Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday, August 24 at The Ganda Vibes Experience.
The Ganda Vibes Experience featuring Ya Levis has been put together by Ganda Vibes, an urban dynamic entertainment group of passionate youth bringing together global and homegrown talent to bring a unique vibe to the entertainment scene, more so when it comes to niche audience events. Because of their belief in the power of collaboration, they have from time to time joined efforts with fellow powerhouses to create memorable experiences for their audiences. Last year, they were the folk behind Odeal At Club Guvnor, Tyler ICU, to mention but a few. They are this time teaming up with House of DJs, Next Radio, and NBS to bring you the Ganda Vibes Experience featuring Ya Levis.
Other details yet to be revealed in the due course of time include more partners, and opening acts including the array of artists and DJs that will share the stage with Ya Levis.
Tickets to the event can be purchased on Quicket, with early bird passes going for UGX 100,000 and a UGX 150,000 tier at the entrance. For all who are in for the VIP Treat, tables are going for UGX 2,500,000 and it seats a capacity of 8 people.
