Zafaran Debuts Onto The Music Scene With Release Of ‘Sweet Heart’ Single & Music Video.

Date:

The latest addition to the Swangz Avenue artist roster Zafaran on Friday officially kicked off her music career under the label with a double release of an audio and music video to her first release ‘Sweet Love’.

‘Sweet Heart’ was penned by the talented Dokta Brain, produced by Bomba and the accompanying colorful music video was directed by Gabriel Kyambadde.

In it, Zafaran is seen sending gestures of being deeply in love with her long-time love interest. The well-coordinated choreographers add sauce to the lyrically rich and good song. While catching a glimpse of the visuals, another thing we can’t help but notice are the costumes that are characterized by culture, hence portraying the singer’s real image of a proud African artiste and these too paint an extra picture that’s eye-catching in the video.

Speaking of the audio, the lines, “Title ya ma lover kanjikuwe kuba amasanyu ompera mu bandale” are a deliberate intent at the tag- hashing generation that we have become, and an overdue one. Bomba’s signature production style defines the song, with light synth strings and some gorgeous harmonies.

All these elements put together make “Sweet Heart” a surprisingly catchy tune, not for just watching but listening too.

Born Josephine Nakyoonyi, Zafaran was unveiled last month as the latest talent to join Swangz Avenue. Just like Azawi was debuted a single, and then an EP to her name, hopefully, one is on the way for the young star.

Upon first listen, Zafaran’s sound sounds like a blend of Rema Namakula & Winnie Nwagi, but again it could be my ears. Have a listen to “Sweet Heart” on your preferred music streaming platform here, or watch its Music Video below and share your thoughts.
