5.Sun-El Musician Ft. Msaki – Bestfriend

Celebrated for his potential, performance and consistency in the game and has been in association with many top acts in the industry is South African Afro House and AfroTech Disc Jockey and Record Producer, Sun-El Musician. He last week shared his new project –  African Electronic Dance Music EP; carrying 11 tracks; and featured contributions from known acts, Ami Faku, Msaki, Bholoja, Maboneng, Linos Rosetta, Simmy and Yamisava.

Lifted from the new studio body of work “African Electronic Dance Music” is Msaki assisted song “Best Friend” and 10th track on the Sun-El Musician project which sees Msaki deliver an impressive performance on it with Sun-El on the beat, and Msaki dishing the vocals.  It is fast gaining lots of streams and positive comments from the fans.

4. Post Malone & The Weeknd – One Right Now

For the last five years, The Weeknd and Post Malone have taken turns dominating the musical landscape to historic measure. Beyond record-setting album sales and chart performance, they current hold the record for the two longest-running, male-led Hot 100 top 10 hits ever – ‘Blinding Lights’ and ‘Circles’ respectively. With so much individual success, the two are looking to double their impact by joining forces for the new song, ‘One Right Now.’  Produced by Louis Bell, Brian Lee, and Andrew Bolooki, the melodic 80’s electroPop-inspired cut track marks the first collaboration from the superstar duo and sees them trade verses about using a “new toy to get over an old one.”

The track serves as the first single off Post’s fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding. The accompanying video, directed by Tanu Muino, is set to debut next week.

3. Bien Ft Aaron Rimbui – Reset Rewind

Kenya Flava Musician, Music entrepreneur, and Sol Family Music Group member Aime Baraza, , popularly known by his stage name BIEN is here last week shared a brand new joint tagged RESET REWIND alongside Aaron Rimbui.

This excellent record as recorded with a great effort to make it a lovely tune for unrestricted consumption is taken off the duo’s joint EP;- Bald Men Love Better which dropped Friday last week.

In a few quotable lyrics, RESET REWIND encourages audiences to take off time to reset and rewind whenever they fell overwhelmed.





2.    Sdala B, Paige – Ghanama (Zulu Version)
One thing about South Africans when it comes to Afrohouse/ Amapiano is that they always deliver. Recall the days of Malwedhe? And Jerusalema? Well, the latest one to join that category is  ‘Ghanama (Zulu Version)‘ a title by talented SA music goddess, Sdala B   talented genius duo Sdala B & Paige.

“Ghanama” was originally released by – South African star, Makhadzi & Prince Benza a few weeks ago and has since amassed over 10 million streams on all digital platforms and currently the most sort after groovy single in South Africa. Sdala B was emotionally-inclined with the particular sound and decided to gift audiences with a Zulu version of the sound which was distributed by OpenMic Production.
Paige’s contribution was never missed as the jam, “Ghanama” (Zulu Version) is currently one of the biggest songs on social media. It has tiktokers on chokehold (with it being used as the song background on over 100, 000 videos shared online on the platform) and me too and it looks like it isn’t planning to release us any time soon.
  1. Ladipoe & Fireboy DML – Running

Nigerian Hotshot Ladipoe has been on a success trail since the better hald of 2020 after dropping Simi collaboration ‘Know You’.  He this year garnered more fans and avid listeners thanks to his internationally treasured breakout single with Buju ‘Feeling’.

The star also enjoyed International this year and eventually earned a nod in the 2021 BET Hip-hop Awards. Ladipoe’s new 6track EP;- ‘Providence’ reflects the Mavin Records superstar’s growth in both talent and status. With production credits from Andre Vibez, the rapper adding to the innovative, experimental Nigerian afro-fusion sound circling the industry he taps fellow countryman Fireboy DML on track 3 “Running” which adds abundant flavors of his sonic palette, delivering a fiery anthem that makes you think of sun-drenched cabanas and icy, mint beverages & is already doing well commercially.
