Music producing ace turned musician Zuli Tums premiers second single ‘Easy’. Listen here

Date:

If there were any two songs that stood out from last year, they must have been Anjagala by Maro, and Cindy Sanyu’s “Boom Party”; both smash hits. One of the things that gives them that feat was the production. Well, the role was done by now renowned producer; Zuli Tums. He has been doing production for some good time now; under Master Beats (his studio).

Born Ssemwogerere Sam, music has always been a part of Zulitums as he has been singing since he was 7. And in his senior one at Kololo Sss, he penned his very first song. However, the real journey begun while he was in S.3 when I began to do self-taught music production hence putting out his very first beat by S5, and enlisted the vocal assistance of Vampino and released “Mabanja” which caught the audiences. This of course meant more artists would go to Zuli Tums for him to put his hand to the studio knobs and produce Master Beats for them. Among these were Pallaso with whom he worked on “Ssanyu lyange” and Very sorry; Maro on “Kikoko”, Vampino on “Mabanja”, Young Mulo on smash hit then “Better Than Them”, Magla on “Onkyusa” and Aidan Quin (Biology). Keya Nemesis’s “Yansoma” among others including Boom Party (Cindy) and Anjagala (Maro) last year.

After years of mastering the craft of production and being he has undoubtedly succeeding at it, the second born of four, mid this year, Zuli Tums signed a record deal with Blacq Avay Records & Entertainment hence dropping his debut single ‘Tabu’, an urban retro slow track. By the way, “Tabu” translates to “Trouble”.  So, in this song, he was singing about this lady he has strong feelings for and each time he sees her, he sees trouble moving about. He also describes her with some really deep lyrics. The video to this single was released that very month of May and to date has over 16,688 views. That’s real work, man. Being new to the singing game, that many views wasn’t a bad welcome. Stream ‘Tabu” here.

And like the English say, “one good turn deserves another”. Now that we showed his very first song love, he has returned with another one that goes by the title “Easy”.  The song was self-written and produced.

Well, as his hobbies may include playing football, watching animated movies, swimming and meditating, I say he should add “making good music to those” because he surely does.

From the little I listened in, ace producer turned Artist Zuli Tums’ “Easy” is sang in Luganda, English and is another beautiful narration. Watch the snippet of ‘Easy” here:

Zuli Tums will be joining Posha Aloyo and Zahara Toto on 106.1 Nxt Radio (The Lounge) at 1Pm to premier his new single and also talk more about his musical journey. Tune in online here:

Easy” is available on all music digital streaming and downloading platforms. Stream it here: 👊🏿
