Patoranking, one of African music’s most multifaceted artists, has just announced he will be releasing his third studio album on August 28, 2020. The singer who recently did a Bob Marley ‘One Love’ remake with the Marley family alongside various artists from across the world for UNICEF, has just announced the coming of his third studio album.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Monday, July 27, 2020, the singer shared the title of the album in a video montage and in the announcement, on his Instagram revealed that the album titled- THREE would drop 28th of August, 2020.
Patoranking also recently announced his winners for the ALU X Patoranking Scholarship Programme disclosed that the album will comprise of 12 tracks with features from Tiwa Savage (remember their collaboration Girlie O?). They’ll be blessing us with another tune. Other collaborators expected to appear on Pato’s ‘THREE’ album are Flavor, Sauti Sol and King Promise.
This body of work from the A-list African Reggae Superstar holds a lot of meanings; from it being his 3rd album in his 3rd decade as he marked his 30th birthday in May, to THREE also representing energy of Kindness, Joy, Creativity, imagination and Growth which we all agree is reflected in his personal life and career. The album theme is Love Life and Happiness. Come August 28th, 2020, when ‘THREE’ drops will have been exactly 1 year and 3 months since his 2nd sophomore studio album – ‘WILMER’ which was dedicated to his daughter was released.
Known for his unique and glamorous way of representing the dancehall genres, Patoranking released “God Over Everything” (GOE) in 2016 which was highly acclaimed hence setting him up onto the level of being ranked as one of Africa’s most revered dancehall artistes with his unique fusion of Reggae, Dancehall and Afrobeat.
The singer is best known for chart topping singles; ‘Suh Different’, ‘Heal The World’, ‘Available’, among others.
Well, with ‘THREE’ coming out 28th August, 2020; which also happens to be my birthday date, you know who couldn’t be any more excited. 😁🕺🏼
