Until around three years ago, guitarist, recording artist and live performer ADORE (born Abraham Masaba) hadn’t seriously considered being an artist.
Just like the norm typically is that you can trace the beginnings of many artists’ music careers to their adolescent ages where they sang in church or school choirs, in no way does Adore’s story deviate from the rest.

Given his Adventist background and a deep love for music (acoustics, soul, pop, and reggae); Adore grew up singing with acapella groups in churches and schools; it was here that his artistry and knack for creativity soared.
He went from just writing songs for his acapella groups and bands to eventually forming his own;-“Band Adore”.
Among his other exploits was venturing into songwriting songs but this time for his solo career as he kicked off the journey to experimenting with different sounds and curving out his musical journey.
Adore’s ability as a singer and songwriter, however, came to the spotlight in the musical contest; the AKA-Dope Stars and has since released a set of tender singles with his very first being ‘MONICA’.
“Gwe Ansanira” which saw him experiment with reggae was his next release, switching it up with afro-fusion in his intricate subsequent singles: “Kyoyagala”, “Turn Me On”, “Love Letter”, “Drinks” and his latest “Talk 2 Me” proving that genre diversity is one of the elements Adore brings to the table.

Describing himself in his own words, the melodious singer says he sees himself as an adventurer traversing the African sound spectrum with no exceptions.
I like to call Adore’s sound one that’s R&B-inflected side of the Afropop spectrum and with his deep dive into making self-reflecting, toe-tapping music art, I can say from my heart of hearts that the pace is being set for more great music ahead.
