Ugandan hip-hop music producer Baru has partnered with longtime collaborator Pryce Teeba and dropped joint Extended Play ‘It Is What It Is: Lions and Lambs’.
The dynamic collaborative duo has had such an impressive creative harmony in the past, and have pre-established themselves as hit machines with projects featuring prominent artists in the Ugandan rap and hip-hop scene along the lines of Mun-G, GNL and Flex d’Paper, hence the decision to put together this project comes as no surprise and is one that’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Pryce Teeba debuted in 2015 with full length project ‘Kambajulire’, and its lead single, “Side Zeno” went on to win the UG Hip-Hop Award for song of the year 2016 and subsequent projects, Redefinitions (2015), Kash Krop (2018) and African Stories (2019) establishing the duo as a formidable force on the scene.
Baru has on one end encountered repeated success over a long period with his original and innovative twist on Ugandan hip-hop. Things don’t fall short in terms of his talent for music production, which is evident through his latest release ‘Lions & Lambs’.
Side Zeno hit maker Pryce Teeba and producer Baru have teased the EP for a while, and today 9th July it finally arrived; their 3rd collaborative full length project, and features writing credits from Kasirye Alfred also professionally known as Pryce Teeba.
The album artwork for the EP is animated with colorful swirls and doodles for extra fun to form a lion, two of them actually; after the EP’s name: ‘It Is What It Is: Lions and Lambs’.
Below is theEP’s Tracklist, as shared on 2nd July, a week to arrival.
With the 18minute 5seconds playtime ‘It Is What It Is: Lions and Lambs’ EP being out now, Baru & Pryce Teeba continue to prove that they are a gem, and the more proof that they are a formidable duo in the game.
