Doja Cat is booked and busy.
Because not only will she be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards 2021, she’ll be hosting the September 12 ceremony too.
The stage blazer announced the news moments ago. Sharing the video below, she wrote: “I’m hosting the 2021 #VMAs this year Wowowowowowow 🤯”
Currently riding the wave of success with singles such as ‘You Right’ and album ‘Planet Her,’ the slot is a super coup for the multi-hyphenate star.
Doja is up for five awards at the VMAs, including two of the event’s highest honors – Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.
Thus far, the night’s performers include Chloe Bailey, Lil Nas X, Camila Cabello, Lorde, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Shawn Mendes, and Twenty One Pilots.
The VMAs 2021 air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, September 12 at 8PM ET/PT.
