As he enters what is yet another exciting musical year for him, the fast-rising Ugandan singer-songwriter has returned with form and poise, his emotive storytelling never missing a beat with ‘Touch & Continue’.

With it being a few weeks till he looks marks a year since he secured a major recording deal with premium music label Swangz Avenue, Elijah Kitaka has got many checks right, including keeping us glued to him, be it fashion-wise, his calm aura, deep voice, and bling, KITAKA stays serving UNSUAL-ly amazing vibes.

He’s today delivered a solo effort titled ‘Touch & Continue’ alongside its visuals as a way of continuing to expand on what sounds he wishes to manifest.

‘Touch & Continue’ comes hot off of the heels of the incredible success of his debut last year, and as a way of kick-starting what promises to be another incredible year for himself musically, and as an artist.

Released under Swangz Avenue, the Afropop-flavored single sees the singer ethereally use the formula that’s proven to work, right from his pen game as a songwriter and percussion that’s paired well with the smooth guitar riffs sprinkled throughout the song, as Kitaka’s candied vocals bounce off the track with ease.

The production of ‘Touch & Continue’ is also atmospheric, thanks to the creative input of Groovy Wurld the producer, with assists from the ‘Kontrol’ crooner himself.

The Aaronaire on Set chopped and directed “Touch & Continue” music video shows Elijah Kitaka ripping doing a string of well-choreographed moves with a female love interest that he is seemingly teasing throughout the song, with lyrics like “Shally Shally, do re mi fa so, for me, for me, genda maso, Continue, Touch and Continue”.

Elijah’s signature masculine and ethereal ballad style is noted throughout the video as he serves a number of looks, and moves throughout with that we trust will be recreated on TikTok within the day.

“Touch & Continue” follows Elijah Kitaka’s ‘Bedroom Essentials’ the EP which was released in 2023 and took cues from pop, Afro R&B, soul and electronic influences, featuring a collaboration with Vinka, and a later singular release of a remix to “Tippy Toe” which featured A Pass.

Today’s release has arrived in three different versions on streaming services, including an acapella version, an instrumental, and audio to his YouTube Channel.

The release of “Touch & Continue” in February isn’t random as it coincides with the month of love, a tender ode to genuine connection and companionship.
