Looks like bossman John Blaq is not about to cease fire when it comes to releasing sensational tunes! The latest one to join this rooster being ‘Don’t Be Like’ which he availed for our listening pleasure early today.
On 6th Tuesday, October 2020, John Blaq; the African Buoy took to his socials to reveal that he was releasing new music on 16th October, 2020 off his upcoming studio project; that is an expected to be an Extended Play (EP) by the title ‘‘Changes.” He did share a short snippet of the soon to be release, but without sound which further raised fans’ excitement and anticipation about the track.
One of the singles off of it dropped today, and is already doing well commercially; as it is trending on streaming platforms Audiomack and YouTube; and this can only show one thing for sure; John is steadily reclaiming his spot and get back to the top in this musical game.
Enlisting the production skills of Diggy Baur, John creates the soothing Love song that ‘Don’t Be Like’ is. It sets the mood just right as the single comes with a beautiful fusion and blend of beats. The lyrics to the track show the ‘Makanika’ singer’s lyrical growth, and well-articulated expression of Love that sounds like he’s speaking straight outta his heart.
In ‘Don’t Be Like’, John asks his lover to be so faithful to him and love him passionately. He continues to make it clear that she should not be like ‘those’ girls who are jumpy, he has a bad of money and it is all hers. He further soothes his dream lady singing that If she left him at any point which is his biggest fear, it would ruin him as he proceeds to set his options straight with intentions to be trusted as a best friend since he decides to give his love wholeheartedly to the lady.
The Single release sets pace for the next big project ‘’Changes” EP that is slated for release later this year. Okay enough of the talking 🙃 the singer’s third solo project of this year is out now and ready for your listening pleasure across all streaming/downloading all digital music platforms.
