The Fantastic is Now 5: Mc Kats, Douglas Lwanga, DJ Mercy. DJ Roja & Sheilah Gashumba

November 5th 2021 has seen celebrated Media Personality, Entrepreneur, Branding Practitioner & Influencer Sheilah Carol Gashumba break her four-year TV hosting hiatus.

Sheila has today officially been unveiled as the latest addition to NBS TV After 5 show that was previously held down by the boys DJ Mercy, MC Kats, Douglas Lwanga, and DJ Roja; also popularly known by their TV show name as “The Fantastic Four” making them “The Fantastic Five” as of today’s announcement.

Next Media Services Group CEO Kin Kariisa virtually welcomed her to the broadcast lead on socials writing:

The 25year has over the years earned her spot as an Entertainer and Brand Ambassador/ Influencer who graced the screens of Television as young as 10Years where she executed a role as a News Anchor and Reporter of the Kids News Show on WBS TV.

That gig saw her land a role as a brand ambassador of AQUA SAFE WATER to promote clean and safe drinking water for children.

Two years later, she upgraded to TEENS CLUB, a live entertainment programme that also tackled issues that resonated with teens, as the youngest amongst a team of five teen presenters and aired for two hours every Saturday.

She in 2007 garnered another milestone as the youngest journalist to cover the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which was presided over by The Queen of England, in Kampala, Uganda.

Soon as NTV arrived in Uganda that very year, she was Sheilah’s name came top of the list among those who were recommended for the new TV then and went ahead to she co-hosted T-Nation for the next three years and later upgraded to NTV THE BEAT, a musical show alongside Douglas Lwanga where she hosted the highly acclaimed Exclusive Access 15-minute segment that provided exclusive information, studio sessions, behind the scenes of the entertainment industry and the people that run it.

Because of the look for constant growth, Sheilah later quit to focus on personal projects including Gash Glam where she’s CEO, her Young Bodies Big Heart Charity Foundation among others.

Elsewhere in media, Sheilah has hosted Honey TV’s House of Chefs cook show, and as Brand Influencer has endorsed Brands Daniell Wellington Watches Sweden (2015), Africell Uganda (2017), Coca Cola (Coke Studio Africa – 2017), Uber (2017), Yokuku (2020), Martinelli’s (2021) among others.

Sheilah Gashumba will present NBS After 5, an evening music show that runs Monday through Friday 5 to 7PM, with Mc Kats, Douglas Lwanga, DJ Mercy and DJ Roja. She officially kicked off hosting the show, on Friday, 5 November, and based on her history and experience in the media and behind the mic promises to put on an incredible job.
