Music enthusiasts have been at it the past couple of hours; thanks to the CLB teaser billboards.
This was after billboards made rounds on social; no forget the Kanye West DONDA Promo ones; these had statements; “Hey Nigeria Tems is on CLB,” the advert read.
Important to note that has been receiving International recognition not just after the unbelievable commercial success of ‘Essence’ (which also includes the single currently peaking at Number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, Peaking at number 1/200 on the Shazam chart, among other milestones) but it dates back to last year when Khalid first enlisted her and Davido for his ‘Know Your Worth’ Remix, and later her EP ‘For Broken Ears” which spawned hit singles like ‘Damages’, a follow up to her former breakthrough hit ‘Try Me’.
Tems (born Temilade Openiyi) came out to confirm that indeed word on the street that she is to be one of the featured artistes on the new Drizzy LP are true; with a post that read:
Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage, Jay-Z, Lil Baby, Project Pat, Lil Durk, Giveon, and Ty Dolla $ign are some of the other stars set to join the a 26-year-old soul-stirring Nigerian singer as part of the guests on the highly anticipated album; whose release has was pushed from January to a later date due to Drake’s recovery from knee surgery.
The Canadian rapper has in the past worked with Nigerian artists and registers a number of notable Wizkid collaborations including ‘One Dance’, and ‘Come Closer’.
CLB arrives tomorrow 3rd September, 2021. While in an interview on BET, Tems revealed that she will be dropping some new music too on her own before 2021 ends. So, fingers are all crossed on that.
