Known for her signature ‘Bossmanjah’ intro, Sony Music Entertainment\\ Swangz Avenue signee’s new release was teased mid-week with ‘the boss returns’ posters.
Many could think this meant Benon Mugumbya (who also happens to be one of Swangz’ Founders) would be releasing some new music, since he also doubles as an artist.
Plot twist; It was a Veronica Luggya Kiyinji (also professionally known as Vinka) ‘Thank God’ release being teased; and it is officially out today.
The record comes a few months after teaming up with Zambia’s Roberto on ‘Loving’ which has been enjoying good airplay.

Having taken a hiatus to embrace her new journey of motherhood with her new bundle of joy, Vinka’s ‘Thank God’ is a feel good also portrays her versatility as a musician.
Commenting on the track, Vinka says that she first recorded the song in 2019 but however kept it till a time that’d be fitting; and about the meaning behind it; the ‘Amaaso’ singer opens up that the song is so personal to her in that she communicates to her creator thanking and appreciating him the good he has done for her.
I mean, she got her first child, bought herself a powerful ride, recently got brand placements with Infinix Uganda and 1xBet; and for this she’s grateful.
To bring the song to life, Vinka worked with Diamond Platnumz’s official producer who also doubles as WCB (Wasafi Classics Baiby) main sound engineer – Lizer alongside Kuseim; whereas the track’s music video was directed by Marvin Musoke. While in interview, she also revealed that the track was written by Yese Oman Rafiki & Julius Kyazze.
The visual also features choreography of youthful dancers from Kampala Pentecostal Church (KPC) clad in white choir gowns and bright pink suites. Other scenes of the video were shot in an actual church reinforcing the gratitude message in the song.
