In what is deemed to be yet another major W for Wizkid Fc like the Nigerian Afrobeats titan’s fans call themselves, the singer just announced some major news.
The ‘Fever’ singer is set to drop a deluxe (extended version) of his 2020 highly acclaimed LP ‘Made In Lagos’ at the end of the month.
Important to note is that this very album housed groundbreaking singles ‘Ginger’ (feat. Burna Boy), among other tracks.
He on August 12, 2021 tweeted: “Got something special for you guys tomorrow…”
That special something is a remix to his chart topping collaborative effort with Rebel City’s Tems ‘Essence’; this time round featuring Canadian Pop Star Justin Bieber; as first teased in an Instagram story by big Wiz!
Essence is currently sitting at No. 59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and as anticipation of the remix, the record is expected to jump to the top of even more charts with a certified hitmaker as a feature.
Sharing the artwork of the remix, Wizkid confirmed the news of the remix in a post:
Justin Bieber making it to the Essence remix won’t be the first time, he works with an Afrobeats artist on a project, he on the Masterkraft Remix of his hit single ‘Peaches’ tapped vocals of Alpha P and Omah Lay, plus the Burna Boy feature ‘Loved by You’ on his 2021 studio album’ Justice’.
