Afro soul queen Lilian Mbabazi set to return to Club Beatz concert as Shaka Mao & Tumbiza Sound singer Eezzy make debut

Date:

Following a three-week break, the fortnight periodical weekend show ‘Club Beatz at Home’ makes its way back to our screens Saturday, this week.

Originally slated for the 21st of November, as a sequel to the two weeks’ time in between each episode, the show was however called off to a later date, due to the crises we were undergoing as a country at the time.

I’d however say the wait was worth it, as Club Pilsener has for this installment lined up not one but three acts; that is two-time Club Beatz star Lilian Mbabazi, Eezzy of the Tumbiza Sound fame and artist/ song writer & model artist Shaka Mao.

Lilian Mbabazi has previously appeared on the Club Beatz At Home Season 1 finale together with Lydia Jazmine and Irene Ntale, where the trio put on an unforgettable performance, which sparked the conversation amongst the public, with many suggesting that the three an make up and reclaim the glorious days of the Blu*3 girl-group of the early 2000’s. The Afro soul also featured on DJ Slick Stuart & Roja’s ‘Very Wellooo’ album on ‘Tolina Kyongamba’; – a personal favorite at the moment.

Also, Lilian made a surprise brief appearance on the Club Beatz at Home concert episode in September this season 3, featuring A Pass; performing their 2015 joint effort ‘Memories’; one that was equally as breath taking and delivered with lots of passion from both acts. On your screens once again this weekend (Saturday 28th), she will bring back those sweet vocals and energy, as always.

Eezzy

kati deejay, nkusaba tumbiza sound, kuba the police is not around…, eyo jemubelera mmu lockdown, ffe eno tubela mu bend down’  goes some part in one of Uganda’s COVID19/ lock down anthems, which has also dominated most local music chats, and currently stands at Number 2 on the Top 100 Music Charts on Apple Music. Ladies and gentlemen, am talking about “Tumbiza Sound”; a whole banger over there. 🤭 Well, this hit single is by one of Northern Uganda’s finest Eezzy, and he will be joining Lillian Mbabazi to share the glamorous Club Beatz concert stage this weekend.

The third and final act who will be headlining the Douglas Lwanga hosted online concert is cover artist, singer, songwriter (the brains behind songs like It’s Over, Nkomyewo, Plastic Lover, Ndi mu Love, Like I do and Believe Me) and also doubles as a commercial model and basketball player;- Shaka Mao. Shaka has covered hit single such as Winnie Nwagi’s Matala, Beera Nange by Sheebah), Lydia Jazmine’s Masuuka, Mummy by my icon A Pass, and ‘Omukwano Gwo’ by another personal fav Vinka 😉 among others.
