Highly anticipated is too small a statement to describe Akeine’s brand music project!
The 6-track melodious project serves as Mujuni Laura Blessings (also popularly known as Akeine’s very first of many major studio projects and this one has guest appearances from Lagum The Rapper Denesi, Spoken word Poet Ssebo Lule, Gideon Roots, Walter YT, and her previous collaborator Joshua Baraka.
Niwe Akeine The EP was jointly worked on with fast budding record producer Axon or Heyo Axon as he is popularly known as and it fuses Afrobeats, house, folk sounds and a bit of rap to create one refreshing masterpiece of a body of work.
Its album artwork was designed by Agaba Solomon PEABO and is of an Elephant; with Akeine and Axon’s faces in the background; whereas the visualizers for the project were designed by Okelloe George Leone.
The “Mpumuza” crooner had previously been tapped by 1Der JR for “Gonja” and Joshua Baraka, 9loo & Chxf Barry’s ‘CLOSER’.
Having first hinted on the release of the EP while in an interview with Okay Africa’s Elizabeth Okwach last month, here it is finally.
Prior its release, the 24-year-old multi-talented singer held an EP listening event at the Tavern Breeze in Najjera and was attended by friends, fellow musicians, and media where she performed the project live.
