If you could describe this album in one word, what would you call it? “Timeless.” This was Davido’s response in a newly shared video to his socials yesterday as he unveiled his latest LP’s official tracklist.

OBO’s silence has been too loud, and heavily felt not just in Nigeria but in Africa at large, as we all know him for always making exceptional releases, be it collaborations, remixes, or even solos, but so hadn’t been the case ever since the unfortunate passing of his beloved ‘bundle of joy’ with Chioma in September last year.

Davido only appeared and made history as the first Nigerian artist to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup 2022 Official closing ceremony where he joined the duo of Aisha and Trinidad Cardona to perform ‘Hayya Hayya’ (Better Together).

The “FIA” singer last week broke the internet with the announcement that he would be returning on March 31st hence sending his millions of millions of fans into a frenzy of excitement.

Though quite several people were unsure if the LP would indeed drop as scheduled due to the postponement culture we’ve been witnessing in the Nigerian music industry for a while now, Davido kept his word and today we are feasting well.

On his much anticipated 4th studio album, ‘Timeless‘, the afro-beats superstar has been joined by guests: Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Asake, Musa Keys, Focalistic, FAVE, The Cavemen, Dexta Daps, and his new signee Logos Olori and Morravey plus production credits to Yung Willis, Blaisebeatz, and Young Alpha.

Timeless‘ features one previously released song; ‘Champion Sound’ feat. Focalistic, and 16 other tracks; kicking off with, ‘Over Dem‘ where Davido reaffirms his position in the industry by his moniker, 001. It moves to the second track ‘Feel‘ and then to the third, ‘In The Garden‘ where he featured his new signee, the Port Harcourt-bred singer-songwriter, Morravey. Some of the exceptional/must-listen collaborations on the album include ‘No Competition‘ with YBNL’s hottest; Asake, ‘Na Money‘ with The Cavemen and Angelique Kidjo, ‘U (Juju)‘ with Skpeta, ‘Kante‘ our FAVE, ‘Picasso‘ with Lagos Olori.

The LP serves as the 4th in Davido’s highly decorated catalog, following its predecessors, ‘A Better Time’, ‘A Good Time’, and ‘Omo Baba Olowo (The Genesis)’.

My personal fav standout was ‘In The Garden” feat. Morravey. Stream ‘Timeless’ here and share your favorite song(s) on there and thoughts below:
