When it’s time to show up at events, trust Ugandan stars to come out looking dapper, fabulous, and glamorous and those who turned up for the Guiza Fashion Launch close of last week were no exception as they kept within the theme which was black, with a touch of gold.

The three in one kind of event was in its maiden edition had a guest list that had a blend of designers, models, fashion producers, media, and friends of the brand Guiza convene at Motiv in the Industrial Area to not only witness the brand’s official launch but also celebrate its 3 year anniversary as it was officially started on 1st November 2019.

Speaking of family, the event was hosted by Shaban Ssenyange (Nature Boy); who is together with Deedan Diana Muyira and Natasha Sinayobye serving in capacities of being of the faces of Guiza. Shaban was joined by Atim Evelyn as the co-host of the night.

It was also additionally for the purposes of flaunting Guiza’s stunningly exquisite clothing line choices that are custom curated to suit any mood, day or occasion. From laid-back style, edgy, Afro urban (Kaftans and Kimonos), chic, and classic to the masculine outdoor and corporate ones; all of which were rocked by the models on the runway and available at dedicated stalls at the event venue.

The Guiza Fashion launch also infused treats that included cocktails, 360 camera experiences, and bites as well a thrilling stand-up comical set by Daniel Omara, the Wembley Dance Foundation who put up a breathtaking electric performance that got the crowds excited and kept them on their toes plus trio;-  H2C Dance Company who engaged the hosts of the event by teaching the dance routine of their Galix Future assisted smash hit single ‘Fine Girl’.

The most exciting for me was the trivia on fashion and design that the hosts really pulled off well by keeping an open floor for participation and giving away some Guiza goodies.

Sharing her remarks at the launch, Sylvia Mugabe the Founder of the fashion line opened by expressing gratitude to her mother for not only inspiring her but letting her be and follow her dream of being a designer and seeing her through her entrepreneurship journey.

She also went on to appreciate all who would had contributed efforts into making the event a success; and to her work colleagues and went on to cut a cake to cap the ceremony.

The Guiza Fashion Launch was organized by Guiza with support from Narj Makeup Artistry, Dynasty Productions, Kampala Kids Club, Bliss Models, and Dominic Electricals.
