Milima Cyber Academy’s White Hat Day 2020 set for Friday this week

Uganda’s Premier Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics and Training Academy Milima Cyber Academy’s annual ‘White Hat Day’ is set for kick off Friday 4th December at Eureka Palace Hotel in Ntinda.

Under the theme “Cybersecurity Begins with You,” the MCA White Hat Day ceremony will honor the dedication and impact/role played by Cyber-security professionals in advocating for information Security, data privacy and protection in a wave of increased cybercrime and threats.

The Milima annual event will bring together alumni of Milima Cyber Academy (MCA), industry and business experts in an exciting occasion to network and dialogue on a Cyber safe Africa. It is at this very event that the academy will pass-out over 15 Cyber Security professionals in a bid to rejuvenates efforts to champion information security as the wave of information Security take precedence.

Guests will also be treated to exciting yet chilling cyber-hacking games from MCA Alumni and experts, and will later close with a networking session. Event will be broadcasting on Milma Cyber Academy’s Facebook Page.

Inaugurated on the 11th of February 2019 with a vision to provide advanced knowledge and skills in Cyber Security & Forensics to build capacity in detection, avoidance, and combat of cyber-attacks, Milima Cyber Academy has continuously refocused its efforts to build the worrying skills among professionals in detecting & combating cyber threats across all tiers of organizations’ infrastructures. This has left firms held hostage with ever-growing data/information at their disposal. The training Center currently runs two programs (Fundamentals of Cyber Security [FCS] and Web Application Security [WAS) and continues to introduce new programs such as the Information Security Practice which was debuted in February 2020 for Information Security Managers (Students).
