Vivo Energy Uganda, the marketer and distributor of Shell branded fuels and products has announced a 10-week promotion that will see over 90,000 customers receive fuel and airtime rewards amounting to UGX 400 million.

The promotion, dubbed “10 Weeks of Cheer – Reloaded,” is open to all motorists that use Shell FuelSave Unleaded or Diesel, and will run until 19 February 2021.

“We realize that the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted our customers in various ways. Celebrations during this festive season will not be the same. Vivo Energy Uganda would therefore like give back to our customers as a way of thanking them and to spread some holiday cheer during this period. This promotion will be active at 157 Shell service stations countrywide, that are widely spread out to ensure reach and convenience for our customers,” said Mark Mutungi, Brand Manager – Fuels at Vivo Energy Uganda.

He added that every week 40 lucky jackpot winners will win fuel worth UGX 200,000 for the duration of the promotion.

To participate in the promotion, customers have to purchase Shell FueSave Unleaded or Diesel worth UGX 10,000 for motorbike riders or UGX 50,000 for other vehicle motorists at any of their preferred Shell service stations. The customer champion at the pump will immediately enter their details into the promotional portal, and an instant SMS from 6445 will be sent to the customer indicating the prizes won.

Mutungi acknowledged the growing commitment and loyalty of customers who are choosing Shell products due to the brand’s internationally accredited quality standards.

“Our fuels laboratory was recently awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025:2017 certification, giving Vivo Energy Uganda the first and only ISO certified fuels laboratory in Uganda. With this certification, customers can rest assured that the products at any of our Shell service stations meet the same quality that is sold in global markets,” Mutungi concluded.
