The Korean Ambassador’s cup opens up a Teakwondo Competition which will be online for those who will wish to join.
The submission of the application started on the 1st May and will end on the 25th June 2021. Those who would wish to join should know how to participate those submitting in the application to korembassyug@gmail.com.
You should have to submit pre-recorded poomsae video.so as to join the Competition.
In these competitions, individual, pair and team are allowed so longer as you together.

This is the first time for the Ugandans to compete in the Korean taekwondo ever since it started .

What is the 2021 Korean Ambassador’s Cup Open Taekwondo Competition, Online Poomsae Challenge?
This is an annual Taekwondo event hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uganda. This year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic it shall be an online Poomsae challenge.
What is Poomsae?
Poomsae are patterns or a set sequence of movements that consists of various fundamental stances, blocks, punches and kicks logically arranged in a meaningful order in response to attacks from multiple imaginary assailants. Poomsae is used heavily in Taekwondo rank testing and a skilled instructor can discern the knowledge, skill level, strength, and focus of a student just by watching them perform Poomsae.
When is this event?
Applications should be submitted starting from 1st May, 2021 to 31st May, 2021 (and videos can
be submitted up to 25th June, 2021 at midday)
How can I submit my video?
Videos can be submitted in one of the following ways;
a. Via email to korembassyug@gmail.com
b. Delivery on USB to the Korean Embassy from 23rd to 25th June, 2021 at midday
c. Posted on social media with the hashtag #2021TAEKWONDOUG and the Korean
Embassy’s Social Media tagged.

Who can participate in this Competition?
Anyone of any age or gender can participate in this competition. It is open to both members of Taekwondo Clubs and the general public.
May I just post my video to social media without sending in an application?
No, an application form must be submitted to consider your video.
May I participate as a part of a club and also participate as an individual?
No, those participating as a part of a taekwondo club cannot participate as an individual that is not part of a taekwondo club.
Can I participate in the individual event, pair event and team event?
Yes, you may participate in the individual event, pair event and team event but you must either participate in all three as part of a club or as an individual (non taekwondo club member.)
We are two boys/girls, may we participate in the pair event?
No, the pair event is open to strictly one male and one female participant.
I have a red belt and my friend has a purple belt, can we be on the same team?
Yes you may. Expect Black belts all other color belts can be in the same team.
I have a black belt and my two friends of the same gender have other color belts, may we participate as a team?
No, members of the same team must have the same belt classification which is either black belt or color belt (Includes all the other color belts).
We are three friends’ two boys and one girl, can we participate in the team event?
No, the team event is open to strictly three participants of the same gender, in the same age category and with the same belt classification.
