The event took place Saturday May 7th at Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal City, making it the second of the many destinations that the radio station intends to visit as part of their Capital Goes National Tour; as a follow up to the first, that went down at the Nkore Place in Mbarara City.
It at these tours that listeners & fans not get an opportunity to rub shoulders with their favorite presenters but also get to enjoy performances by their regional and national entertainers.
Speaking of entertainers, to make the Fort Portal leg of the Capital FM tour, Club Pilsener on-boarded performers: Bebe Cool, Fik Fameica, Sheebah, Gravity Omutujju, Ray G, Omega 256, T-Paul and all Capital FM deejays and other local performers from the area hence giving them a unique kind of experience.
The partnership between arguably one of Uganda’s oldest radio stations Capital FM (which turns 30 years this December) and Club Pilsener is quite evident as the brand has for the past couple of years supported the Ugandan music scene and entertainers through events and brand sponsorships, under its “Unleash Your Beat” mantra.
“Tours such as these provide unique opportunities for us as a Brand to reach out to and celebrate with our consumers. It is in our DNA as Club Pilsener to enable our consumer to unleash their inner self and this tour will help us reach out to those in Fort Portal city with the same vibe,” said Joel Galla, Nile Breweries’ Brand Manager Club and Premiums. We had a very good experience in Mbarara and we are confident that we’ll have an even better one this weekend in Fort Portal,” he added. Prior to the Capital FM Tour show, the station’s presenters upon arriving in Fort Portal paid a courtesy visit to Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, among other activations, and visits; because Fort Portal is not called “The Tourism City” for nothing.
