The multifaceted Nigerian raving afro beats singer has confirmed she’ll be performing in Kampala, Uganda this July at Blankets and Wine.
As Blankets and Wine celebrates its 10th year anniversary, it continues to beef up their lineup, with harder headlining acts. This time round, they are making the dream of Ayra Starr stans come to pass as they’ll be flying her in to headline the forthcoming edition slated for July 24th.
Following a recently successful event that featured Kenya’s Nviiri the Story Teller, Bruce Melodie from Rwanda and Spice Diana, Cosign & Zex Bilangilangi, the Blankets And Wine returns to its home Lugogo Cricket Oval, and it will have Mavin Records’ Ayra Starr as the headlining act.
When she was first announced this week, many potential revelers were hesitant this would be true following the Uncle Waffles affair where the DJ/Record Producer came out on her socials to reveal that she and her management hadn’t been in the know of any booking to perform to Uganda.
To clear the air, the “Bloody Samaritan” singer indeed went ahead and confirmed to her celestial fan base that she can’t wait to perform and meet them at the House of DJs organized event.
As always, tickets to the event will go for UGX. 100,000/=, and allow revelers to enjoy rich food, live music from some of Africa’s most talented artists (Led by Ayra Starr), interact with friends, meet new people, and exciting art installations and exhibitions, in addition to the much anticipated live performances. As the date nears closer, more acts are promised to be announced and will feature Deejays, etc at varying stages of the professional music careers.
Blankets And Wine will be hosted by the fantastic and always vibrant Miss Deedan. Stay tuned to mugibson for the latest with the event, and more.
