The Two-time Grammy-nominated artist, who also dropped the visuals to ‘Way Too Big’ yesterday; a single that’s taken off of his highly acclaimed and chart topping August LP is cashing in big this year as his song has been picked as the official soundtrack for this edition of the popular video game;- GTA (V).

Burna Boy‘s ‘Getting Money‘ takes off with cocksure lines ‘Calling from Naija, hello’ and snowball into a rhythmic delivery rendered in Burna’s style which fuses English language and Yoruba as it plays over the animated video game trailer. 

Burna Boy took to Twitter to announce the partnership with the video game organizers:

Burna Boy is still reeling off of the excitement of his Grammy Awards nomination, under the World Music Album category alongside other entertainers like Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tinariwen courtesy of his latest album “Twice As Tall”. He last week took home MOBO Award for ‘Best International Act’. 

Alongside Burna Boy, was Ghana based Electronic producer, dj and artist Gafacci, whose joint effort with Portuguese singer Branko ‘Azaa’ was added to the GTA (V) for the 2020 December update.

Last year his hit single ‘Killin’ Dem’ alongside Naira Marley’s ‘Opotoyi’ made Grand Theft Auto’s playlist for their ‘iFruit’ edition.
