Boy, Fireboy brought on the Fire in Uganda over the weekend at Lugogo Cricket Oval, and he’s now doing the same on the charts with multiple entries.

Uganda can’t seem to get over the heat that was the Fireboy DMl Live In Kampala concert that happened over the weekend (April 30th) at the Lugogo Cricket Oval and it’s quite evident.

One could attribute it to the much love the music enjoying nation have always had for Adedamola Adefolahan also professionally known as Fireboy DML right from his debut in 2019 with his hit song ‘Jealous’ and the anticipation that they had for his show.

Performing to an audience of over 12,000 people in attendance, it was nothing but overwhelming cheer as the revelers sang along to each song the Guinness Black Shines Brightest Pan African Influencer serenaded them with an over an hour and a half performance at the well-attended show.

The YBNL singer has been known to drop chart-topping singles, not just in Uganda, but globally, and this is evident in his recent success with the various remixes of “Peru”, the “Sickick‘ remix of “Frozen” on which he was enlisted Legendary Pop star Madonna among others.

Scrolling through the Apple Music Top 100 chart of Uganda as of today 2nd February, 2022, Fireboy DML has retained his position at #1 with “Playboy”, and also gone ahead to chart over “16” tracks (including features), both from his maiden solo album “Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps” and 2020’s “Apollo”.

Having shared the tracklist of the songs he was to perform in a tweet, a couple of hours to show time; guess the people took the rehearsals for mans show rather too serious and had to get listen to the music, that’s if they were to sing along and be in sync during the event, which could also have contributed to the surge in the streams on his end, hence the chart dominance.

With his 3rd LP “Playboy” on the way (expected this Summer), there promises to be a lot more to be enjoyed by the music lovers, in Uganda, and worldwide.
