Absolute Entertainment is clearing the air!

The Banjul (The Gambia) based entertainment and events solutions company has come out to today clear the ongoing grapevine around a concert that’s been apparently set to be headlined by Jamaican sensation Popcaan.

Artwork advertising the show began circulating over the weekend just as Blankets and Wine had just ended. September 15th had been the date indicated on it and Lugogo Cricket Oval as the set venue.

Being that Kampala, Uganda has been on an events spree; ever since the economy fully opened, it was so easy to believe this was true; given we have had Adekunle Gold, Mike Kayihura, are having Tiwa Savage this week, and CKay later in August.

They then went ahead to call this a scam, false and misleading in a series of multiple tweets.

Known for songs like “Silence”, “Controlla (as featured by Drake)” and “Best Friend”, Andrae Hugh Sutherland famously known as Popcaan has been to Uganda once and it was in 2017 for the music video shoot of his Naughty Boy team up with Kyla “Should’ve Been Me”. Other than that, a second visit by the singer is not happening according to the new developments by the events agency – Absolute Entertainment.
